CO2laser welding (carbon dioxide laser welding)
CO2(carbon dioxide) laser welding is the typical form ofgas laserwelding. In addition to CO2其他气体,激光振荡可以包括He/Ne (helium and neon) and Ar/Kr (argon and krypton). CO2, however, is the most commonly used medium for laser welding.
Compared with solid-state lasers, CO2offers a higherconversion efficiencyand is capable of high-power continuous oscillation (CW, or continuous wave). The excitation source is a discharge-type source with wavelengths of 10.6 μm and 9.4 μm. Wavelengths of 10.6 μm are used for welding. Gas laser welding is used in a wide range of fields due to the ability to weld not only metal but also resin.
